Pure Hearts is a group of teenage girls who have committed themselves to sexual abstinence until marriage.  The rate of teen pregnancy in the Hollygrove community is very high.  Most teenage girls have a child before marriage.  We are committed to teaching our girls to say no to sex outside of marriage.

The girls have adopted 5 goals for our group:

1. To abstain from sex outside of marriage

2. To avoid STDs (sexually transmitted diseases)

3. To graduate from college

4. To have a solid Christian marriage

5. To raise a Christian family

Our theme verse is from 2 Timothy 2:22

Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace. Along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

In 2007, when we began our club, we had 10 girls pledge to our 5 standards.  We had a formal dinner to celebrate the “Ring Ceremony” where the girls were presented their purity rings.  In 2008 we had a 2nd “Ring Ceremony” and had 2 new members join our club.
